Our Purpose

We enable organisations to eliminate wasted time, wasted natural resources, and wasted money.

Our Mission

We empower smarter resource management through continuous remote monitoring solutions, eliminating unnecessary site visits while delivering the insights facilities managers and decision makers need to optimise operations and reduce environmental impact

Our Vision

A connected future

We foresee a future where every asset is securely interconnected, unleashing potential for predictive maintenance, fault detection, and efficient use of natural resources to stay within our planetary boundaries.

Reduce avoidable travel

Reduce carbon emissions

Uncover vital operations data

Our Guiding Principles

The principles that guide every project

Our guiding principles shape everything we do, from designing solutions and working with clients, to building our team. They ensure we focus on client outcomes and lasting impact, not just the technology.

Forward-thinking

We believe in creating innovative solutions and embracing new technologies. This future-thinking approach enables us to solve our clients’ challenges effectively.

Partnership

We measure our success by our clients’ success. We invest in long-term client relationships, prioritising clients’ outcomes over our own short-term gains

Responsibility

We are committed to helping organisations improve their impact on people and the environment, while continuously advancing our own sustainability practices toward a circular economy.

Commitment

Sustainability in practice

skentel’s promise is to keep its clients connected to their remote assets and provide insightful data to save money, time, and natural resources for a more sustainable future.

What do we mean by sustainable futures? By using fewer of Earth’s natural resources, we can cut carbon emissions and operate within planetary boundaries, while reducing operational costs and improving efficiency. This dual approach, environmental and economic, creates a healthier planet for generations ahead.

We are committed to making our own operations more sustainable. We are proud to be on the journey towards B Corp Certification, a rigorous standard and framework for lasting positive business impact. We are also passionate about moving towards a circular economy model. By shifting towards a fully managed service model as our core offering, where we retain ownership of equipment, we will extend hardware lifecycles and reduce e-waste. While we are still in the early stages of this journey, we are focused on driving this strategy forward.

Our story

Remote monitoring experts since 2009

In 2009, we recognised we could better help our clients by providing a secure connection to the control panels we were installing. Instead of waiting hours for one of our engineers to travel to a site, we could provide instant support remotely. We soon realised we could offer that same advantage to our clients, providing real-time insights whilst cutting their travel.

Since then, eliminating travel to remote assets has been at the heart of everything we do. We are constantly expanding the connectivity options available to eliminate travel miles, from cellular to LoRaWAN and now direct-to-satellite, with a strategic roadmap to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

Originally called Ver Fácil (Spanish for “easy to see”), in 2025 we became skentel (meaning “clever” in Cornish), a name that reflects our evolution into intelligent, tailored remote monitoring solutions.

2009

First remote monitoring projects reduce routine site visits for multi-site clients.

2015

Expansion of remote monitoring services to multiple sectors

2018

Long-range wireless and multi-network solutions cut operational costs for large estates.

2025

Rebranded from Ver Facil to skentel and added satellite IoT connectivity
