Justice, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Policy
Last updated: 12/08/2026
skentel Group Limited (skentel) is dedicated to encouraging a supportive and inclusive culture amongst the whole workforce. It is within our best interest to promote diversity and eliminate discrimination in the workplace.
Our aim is to ensure that all employees and job applicants are given equal opportunity and that our organisation is representative of all sections of society. Each employee will be respected and valued and able to give their best as a result.
This policy reinforces our commitment to providing equality and fairness to all in our employment and not provide less favourable facilities or treatment on the grounds of:
- age,
- caring responsibilities,
- disability,
- family situation,
- gender expression,
- gender identity,
- gender reassignment,
- marriage and civil partnership,
- pregnancy and maternity,
- race including ethnic origin, colour, nationality and national origin,
- religion or belief,
- sex,
- sexual orientation,
- socio-economic background,
- the effects of the menopause,
- trade union activity.
All employees will be treated fairly and with respect. When skentel selects candidates for employment, promotion, training, or any other benefit, it will be on the basis of their aptitude and ability.
All employees will be given help and encouragement to develop their full potential and utilise their unique talents. Therefore, the skills and resources of our organisation will be fully utilised and we will maximise the efficiency of our whole workforce.
skentel commitments:
- To create an environment in which individual differences and the contributions of all team members are recognised and valued.
- To create a working environment that promotes dignity and respect for every employee.
- To not tolerate any form of intimidation, bullying, or harassment, and to discipline those that breach this policy.
- To make training, development, and progression opportunities available to all staff.
- To promote equity in the workplace, which Ver Facil Limited believes is good management practice and makes sound business sense.
- To encourage anyone who feels they have been subject to discrimination to raise their concerns so we can apply corrective measures.
- To encourage employees to treat everyone with dignity and respect.
- To regularly review all our employment practices and procedures so that fairness is maintained at all times.
skentel will inform all employees that an equality and diversity policy is in operation and that they are obligated to comply with its requirements and promote fairness in the workplace. All employees will be required to read and sign that they agree to abide by this policy upon beginning their employment. The policy will also be drawn to the attention of funding agencies, stakeholders, clients, learners, suppliers, and job applicants.
Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI)
At skentel, we know that building a truly sustainable future means addressing more than carbon emissions and resource waste. A genuinely inclusive economy cannot exist alongside systemic injustice, inequity, and violence — particularly as these disproportionately affect people of colour and women. Staying quietly in the background is not enough. We have a responsibility to show up as vocal, visible, anti-racist, and feminist leaders in our industry. Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) is not a side initiative — it is embedded in how we operate, who we hire, and how we grow.
Justice
Real progress — environmental or economic — cannot happen while systemic barriers prevent people from living full and dignified lives. At skentel, we are committed to actively dismantling those barriers within our business and beyond, because equitable outcomes are not a byproduct of good work — they are a measure of it.
Equity
The best ideas come from people who feel genuinely valued and fairly treated. At skentel, we hold ourselves accountable for the policies, processes, and practices that shape our workplace — ensuring they recognise difference, remove disadvantage, and create an environment where everyone can do their best work.
Diversity
We know from experience that the sharpest thinking comes from varied perspectives — across age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical and mental ability, neurocognition, and lived experience. At skentel, we don’t just welcome those differences; we rely on them to drive better decisions and more effective solutions.
Inclusion
An inclusive culture doesn’t happen by accident — it’s built deliberately, one conversation at a time. At skentel, we actively work to ensure every voice is heard and every perspective shapes how we think, plan, and grow.
Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are not aspirations for the future — they are the principles we apply today in how we build our team, develop our leaders, and make every business decision count for something bigger than profit.
skentel’s equality and diversity policy is fully supported by Managing Director Rob Cartwright, and will be enforced by the General Manager. Our policy will be monitored and reviewed annually to ensure that equality and diversity is continually promoted in the workplace.
